Perched above Banff and surrounded by the peaks of the Canadian Rockies, the Juniper offers a quieter way to experience the mountains while remaining just minutes from downtown Banff and some of the region’s most iconic adventures.

Mountain View Hot Tub Hours

Our outdoor Mountain View Hot Tub is open daily for registered hotel guests and offers a relaxing place to unwind while taking in the surrounding mountain views.

The hot tub operates on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be reserved. Cosy robes are provided in your room for your comfort.

Tues – Sun 09:00 AM – 10:00 PM | Mon 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM

Check-in begins at 4PM, giving our team time to prepare your room for a comfortable stay. Check-out is 11AM on your departure day.

Arriving early or leaving later? We’d be happy to store your luggage so you can make the most of your time in Banff. Early check-in and late check-out requests may be available based on occupancy and can be arranged with the Front Desk.

Smoking Areas

The Juniper provides designated outdoor smoking areas for guests. Smoking is not permitted anywhere else on hotel property or grounds. Follow the link below to find the Smoking Areas on the property map or ask at the Front Desk.

Banff National Park faces extreme wildfire risk for much of the year. Dry forest conditions mean even a single spark can have serious consequences for the park, the town, wildlife, and the people who live and visit here.

Parking in Banff can be very limited. We recommend parking at the Juniper and using the Juniper Shuttle and Roam Transit to get around Banff and the Bow Valley.

Exploring Without a Car

Explore Banff at your own pace on a Juniper e-bike. The first three hours are included as part of your amenity fee – our way of supporting a greener Banff by helping guests leave the car behind. Whether you’re cruising along the Bow Valley Parkway, visiting Vermilion Lakes, or heading into town for lunch, e-bikes make it easy to cover more ground while enjoying the scenery. E-bikes provide extra assistance on hills or long distances, making them a great option for riders of all experience levels. Availability is limited, so we recommend visiting the Front Desk early in your stay to reserve yours. Our team can also book full-day or stay-length rentals from adventure companies in town.

Visiting Lake Louise

Lake Louise is one of the most iconic destinations in Banff National Park and is located approximately 45 minutes from the Juniper Hotel by car.

During peak summer and autumn seasons, parking at Lake Louise fills very early and private vehicle access can be limited. We strongly recommend planning ahead and using Parks Canada shuttles, Roam Transit, or other transportation services whenever possible.

Once you arrive, you can enjoy lakeside walks, canoe rentals, hiking trails, and stunning views of the Victoria Glacier. Popular hikes include the Lake Agnes Tea House, Big Beehive, and Plain of Six Glaciers.
