The art displayed here celebrates Indigenous cultures and creativity, showcasing First Nations, Métis and Inuit artists from coast to coast. It’s one way we honour the deep connections of six different Indigenous language groups to the Bow Valley, home of the Holy Springs and the Sacred Guardian Buffalo Mountain.
The diverse traditions of Indigenous art can open our eyes to new ways of seeing the world around us, particularly our relationships with nature.
We’ll have a more detailed tour of our art displays available very soon. In the meantime, you can listen to some of the elders who visit us each year and offer their advice. In this short video, they explain what the presence of Indigenous art in Banff means to them.
