The Canada/US border is currently closed to all non-essential travel, including any kind of tourism.

Arrivals from outside Canada are legally required to self-isolate for 14 days after crossing the border. Violation of this order may result in severe financial penalties or prison time. Local RCMP detachments are actively enforcing quarantine regulations in Banff and the Bow Valley.

Anyone transiting through Canada, e.g. between Alaska and the contiguous United States, will be issued specific instructions when crossing the border. They must keep stops in Canadian communities to a minimum and use drive-thru and contactless services only. They are not permitted to stay overnight in any kind of lodging without completing the mandatory 14 day self-isolation period.

For the safety of our guests, staff and community, The Juniper Hotel’s pre-check-in screening will include questions about each guest’s recent travel history. Guests legally required to self-isolate will not be permitted to check in or access common areas of the hotel.
