Starting June 2022, summer guests can explore the vibrant plant and animal life that surrounds our hotel on a 30-minute discovery tour.
Once you’ve been blown away by the stunning mountain views, Chris, our Native Plant Specialist, will draw your eye to the smaller details that make this place so special. The Juniper welcomes adventurous human travellers, but plenty of other species call this place home. Keep an eye out for native bees checking in to their very own hotels around the property!
You’ll spot wild flowers about to burst from their winter hibernation, listen out for woodpeckers in the trees and find traces left by bears, elk and deer as they head to the neighbouring wildlife corridor.
People are part of this ecosystem and this land holds history and culture dating back thousands of years. Hear some of the stories this place has to tell, and we bet you’ll see Banff with fresh eyes.
Juniper Garden Tours take place every Thursday @ 11AM in the summer season.
No booking required: meet Chris by the Native Plant Greenhouse (on the right of the building, past the Bistro entrance).
