Changes in Effect December 24th 2021
We are pleased to welcome fully vaccinated guests to dine in the Juniper Bistro. To be eligible, you must have received the full course of a Health Canada approved vaccine and have received your final dose more than 14 days prior.
As of November 15th, 2021, a vaccine card with scannable QR Code is the only acceptable form of Alberta-issued proof of vaccination. You must present your QR code, either printed or on your phone or tablet, to be scanned before entering the Bistro. You will also need to show photo ID that matches the name on your vaccine record. These rules apply at all restaurants in Banff who are participating in the REP program. Find out more about the requirements and ways to access your vaccine record here: https://www.alberta.ca/covid-19-public-health-actions.aspx
Alternatively, you may provide a negative result from either a rapid antigen or PCR test taken within the previous 72 hours. These tests must be conducted through a private provider; at this time, we cannot accept test results obtained through AHS. Learn more.
Beginning December 24th, 2021, tables are limited to a maximum of 10 guests. Larger groups may be split across more than one table, but there must be no mingling between tables. Masks must also be worn any time you leave your seat.
To help us seat you in a timely manner, you may wish to arrive at the Bistro five minutes ahead of your reservation time. We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding as we implement procedures to create a safer dining environment for all our guests.
Guests attending meetings and events in our function spaces will receive information on seating plans and requirements for vaccination records or testing via their group organizer.
Masks Are Mandatory in Alberta
Guests are required to wear a mask in all common areas of the hotel, including:
- Lobby and Front Desk area
- Public washrooms
- The Juniper Bistro & Patio
Masks are not required in other outdoor areas around the hotel, such as the picnic tables.
When dining at Juniper Bistro, we ask that you wear your mask until you are seated, and any time you leave your table during your visit. While sat at your table, you are welcome to remove it and enjoy your meal!
Young children and individuals with certain medical needs are exempt from wearing a mask. If you are exempt on medical grounds, we appreciate you letting our staff know at the earliest opportunity so that we don’t remind you unnecessarily. Learn more about exemptions.
Our staff will verbally remind anyone not wearing a mask in a required area. Failure to comply with any hotel policy may result in removal from the premises and confrontational behaviour towards any member of staff will not be tolerated.
Mask wearing can have a significant impact on community transmission of Covid-19. By wearing your mask you protect others, including those who may be unable to wear one for medical reasons. Thank you for your support in keeping our community safe and Banff’s businesses open.
Need a mask? Just ask! We have complimentary single-use masks available at the Front Desk and Bistro.
