Visitors to Banff from international destinations may require a pre-departure COVID-19 test before their return journey. Starting October 1st 2021, convenient testing with quick turn-around times is available in downtown Banff.

Where can I get a COVID-19 test for travel in Banff?

Go Rapid Test is located in the Bear Street Mall at 220 Bear Street. They offer both Rapid Antigen Tests, with results in 15 minutes, or PCR Molecular Tests with results available in 24 hours. There is even a RUSH option for PCR tests that will deliver results in 12 hours for an additional fee.

The clinic is open at the following times:

Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM

Saturday-Sunday, 9AM-5PM

Hours may be subject to change, so please verify opening times online.

An appointment is not required, travellers can simply pre-pay for their test online via the Go Rapid Test website, then walk in during opening hours. You should carefully check the entry requirements for the country you are travelling to and ensure that your test is performed at the correct time before your departure. Your passport or travel document number may be required for your travel certificate, so it is important to bring this with you to your appointment.

The Bear Street Mall is a five-minute drive or taxi ride from the Juniper Hotel, or around 35 minutes on foot. Paid parking is available nearby at Banff Town Hall or Bear Street Parkade; there are free of charge spaces on the upper levels of the parkade. Check banffparking.ca for more information on parking options and real-time space availability.
