As of July 1st, the province of Alberta has lifted all COVID-19 related restrictions. The Town of Banff has also rescinded its mask bylaw. You are no longer required to wear a mask inside the Juniper Hotel or Bistro.
As we emerge from the worst of the pandemic, some risks still remain, and we must all be kind and respectful of others’ boundaries. While being fully vaccinated makes you significantly safer, not all Albertans have been able to get their second shot yet, and some, including children under 12 years old, are not currently able to be vaccinated.
Many people will choose to continue wearing a mask indoors until 14 days after their second vaccination, to protect themselves and others while they are still building immunity. Please join us in supporting these sensible choices and feel welcome to ask our staff if you would like a single-use face mask. While two metre distancing is no longer a requirement, let’s all continue to give each other as much space as possible.
The latest scientific findings indicate that aerosols are a key vector for COVID-19 transmission, and not ‘sharing air’ is a simple way to reduce the remaining risk. We have checked all our ventilation systems to ensure that air in common areas of the hotel and restaurant is exchanged regularly. By preventing viral particles from building up in the air, we’re making our hotel and bistro an even safer place to be.
Please note that, to mitigate the remaining risk to our staff, we will not be offering stay over cleaning services for guests staying multiple nights. Please contact the Front Desk for assistance with garbage removal, clean linens etc.
You can help us on the final stretch by staying home if you have any respiratory symptoms, even if you have been vaccinated. Please also respect all travel related quarantine requirements. If your plans change, we’ll be happy to amend your reservation.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact our friendly Front Desk Team on 1-866-551-2281.
