We didn’t have to look far for a brilliant bread supplier; The Juniper is lucky enough to be part of the same hospitality family as Wild Flour Bakery. At their location in the heart of Banff, a team of talented bakers create delicious loaves, shaped by hand, with simple, high-quality ingredients. Their most popular loaf is the classic sourdough, made with a decades-old starter gifted from a small village bakery in the Catalonia region of Spain. It has a crisp golden crust, open crumb and a delicately sour flavour that pairs well with a variety of dishes, including our famous shakshuka.
As well as great bread, the bakery offers a line-up of legendary cakes, cookies and pastries for when you’re in need of a sweet treat. Juniper Bistro is proud to feature the Wild Flour Chocolate Torte on our dessert menu; silky smooth and decadently chocolatey, it also happens to be vegan and gluten-free. We also serve Wild Flour’s signature espresso blend coffee, which is ethically sourced and roasted in Calgary by a family-owned company.
